highly recommend  Jul 8, 2002
Not only does the book offer great stories, it gives some thoughtful activities. Girls learn real-life Christian values
in situations they might face themselves.
I highly recommend this book.

Good wholesome reading and activities.  May 24, 2002
I am a grandmother and my oldest granddaughter had her tonsils out in Feb.2001. I wanted to send her something to keep her busy while she was at home recovering. I found The Ponytail Girls books in the christian book store that I frequent. I bought the first book of the series and sent it to Alyssa, she was 10 at the time. She called me and told me she loved the book and all the fun activities included in it. She told me that she had finished reading the stories and doing all the activities in a week. She also asked right then and there for the next book in the group for christmas. I told her if it was in print and I could find it she could have it.
It's wonderful for young girls to have a positive role model and good wholesome reading. There is to much junk on the market, but I am glad to say this is an excellent group of books. I checked them out and I wouldn't give my grandchildren any that was questionable. I highly reccommend these books for anyones young
daughters or granddaughters.

fun to read and teaches biblical values  Mar 18, 2002
The ponytail girls (PT's) are a group of friends who love sports, enjoy shopping, and have fun with their friends at school. They also want to live in a way that is pleasing to God.

Each chapter tells about a dilemma one of the girls faces (annoying cousin ruining a birthday, new neighbors moving in next door, etc.) and relates how it was solved. It also gives a summary of a Bible story about someone with a similar problem or experience. At the end of each chapter, there are mazes, quizes, or puzzles to add even more fun to the book.

My only hangup with the book is that it focuses very heavily on evangelization as the girls are often trying to get friends, family and schoolmates to attend their church. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but going door to door inviting people to church isn't something I'm comfortable with.

Overall, I think this is a good book and the free scruchie is a nice bonus.
